By Scarlet Six Biomonitoring Team
The S6 Crew came out this week with great news. ALL 7 chicks have now successfully fledged from their nests. These chicks have the “new” genes to pass on for future generations of macaws within the Maya Mountains of Belize. Pictured here, one of the last chicks (right) which fledged, is being fed by its adult parent (left) outside of the nest cavity. A HUGE THANK YOU to all our donors, field partners and volunteers who helped us make 2014 an even better year than last. We look forward to your help again in 2015 for even better results.
