NBA Star Reggie Bullock Buys $2M Island in Belize

Dallas Mavericks forward Reggie Bullock recently made headlines after purchasing a $2 million private island in Belize. The small forward, currently in the second year of a three-year, $30.04 million contract, opened up about the extravagant purchase in an exclusive interview with Marc Spears of Andscape (source: Yardbarker).

Bullock, who has played for five different NBA organizations over the past decade, has earned an estimated $38.3 million throughout his career. With such a lucrative career, it’s no wonder the athlete decided to indulge in a luxurious investment.

The island, named “Bullock Caye,” spans approximately 5 acres and is intended to be a personal vacation spot for Bullock and his family. Additionally, the NBA star plans to develop the island into a high-end resort, complete with villas for rent, a restaurant, spa, and other amenities.

“I found an opportunity down in Belize where I purchased an island that was about 5 acres that I am going to put resort villas on. It’s a vacation spot for me and my family where other people will be able to attend and enjoy different vacation activities,” Bullock told Andscape.

The forward also has plans to build a 4,000-square-foot home on the island for himself and his family, ensuring they can enjoy their own private piece of paradise. Speaking about the beauty of the location, Bullock simply stated, “The water is beautiful.”
