Belize is spearing no time in Wowing the world and also recently made it on Money Inc, list of top 20 countries to retire to. The website sided with travelers who want to afford a comfortable lifestyle on a pension. They listed Belize as one of the countries that will afford travelers the opportunity to stretch their pension to the max and get an excellent standard of living in return.
Money Inc said that Belize offers retirees a host of attractive benefits, including the chance to live in a stunning, English-speaking country, that boasts one of the most gorgeous and untouched coastlines in Central America. The website said that while prices for rentals vary depending on location, an average of $1000 per month would get retirees a comfortable rental.
As it relates to residency, the website informed travelers that they would need to reside in the country for 50 weeks prior to applying for a visa. Additionally one of the requirements is that pensioners would be required to maintain a bank account in the country with a minimum annual transfer of $24,000.
Among the many things that continue to attract travelers to Belize is the country’s exchange rate of $2 BZD to every $1 USD. This means that you can have loads of fun while still on a budget. Need to experience it yourself instead of going by hearsay, then hop on the next plane and experience the tropics in person.
