Want to live the Caribbean dream? You’d better believe in Belize

Even the British Newspaper The Telegraph agrees that Belize is the perfect country to retire. In an article entitled “Want to live in the Caribbean dream? You’d better believe in Belize, which was published today, writer Saundra Satterlee asserts that Belize has so much to offer to expat retirees due to the country’s natural beauty and programs like QRP (Qualified Retired Program).

“Bordered by the Caribbean, Guatemala and Mexico with a population of 330,000, Belize is around 10 times the size of Luxembourg and is ranked by the Caribbean Tourism Organization as one of the region’s fastest growing tourist destinations. Property, too, is in the ascendancy,” she writes.

Speaking about the article, Dianne Bulman who is the developer of The Peninsula Club in Placencia Belize said that there is no place like Belize in the world and Belize’s low cost of living is enough to make it one of the world’s great retirement havens.

For those who do not know, Dianne Bulman is the same person who put together the famed Chabil Mar Villas which was voted this year as one of the top luxury resorts in Belize by Fodor’s and Trip Advisor.

“The Peninsula Club and Marina is Belize’s best address for those who are seeking the wonder and adventure of this amazing Caribbean country along with the comforts and amenities of a luxury resort,” she said when asked why people should consider investing in The Peninsula Club of Belize.

Speaking about the health and wellness aspect of The Peninsula Club, Bulman said that the club will consist of state of the art spa with not only vanity treatments but proper dermatological treatments, and baths and many anti-aging components with hopefully a doctor – a naturopath doctor from Seattle that will work and retire in Belize.

The Peninsula Club and Marina is one of its kind in Belize and is situated in a place of incredible natural beauty, a blue-water bay near the end of a 23-mile long peninsula in the quaint town of Placencia Belize, next to the famed Turtle Inn, owned by five time Academy Award-winning director Francis Ford Coppola and directly across from Chabil Mar Luxury Villas.

“The Peninsula Club Marina is for anyone who is interested in real estate opportunities in Placencia and besides the mesmerizing scenery, the location places this upscale residential development and world-class marina right in the heart of all of the many natural wonders of Belize, “says Bulman.

“Belize is gorgeous and has so much to offer and I live here partly for medical reasons but also for the weather and the beauty of Belize and there are no other Caribbean people as different and friendly as the Belizeans.  But this Peninsula Club with the health and wellness centre attached with the future medical clinic and the shopping and banking and marina five minutes to open sea makes this the investment of Belize,” states the developer.

“Less known than its Caribbean island neighbours for property, Belize has lashings of desirable expat attributes including political stability, English as its first language, a currency fixed to US dollar, a British-based legal system and Commonwealth membership. It also boasts retirement advantages. Retirees, classified as being 45 years and older with an annual income of US$24,000 (£14,500), can gain residency through the Qualified Retired Persons (Incentives) program, known as QRP (cdn.gov.bz / belizeinvest.org.bz),” writes Satterlee.

The Peninsula Club will feature home sites, luxury villas, a lively shopping galleria with boutique shops and services to make life at The Peninsula Club effortless and exciting.

There will also be a 75 foot long inside measurement lap pool for professional and fun swimming – first of its kind in Belize along with a plunge pool for total fun and a wading pool and swim up bar.

“I defy any family member to say they can’t find something to do at THE CLUB for a day,” says Bulman who recommends the Peninsula Club as an excellent place for retirement, adventure seeking families, or as a winter getaway vacation home away from home.

The Peninsula Club is an entry level real estate investment in Belize and is considered a change for a big hit thus investors will have a winner!
