
It is official! In just a couple of days, Their Royal Highness, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, and Kate Middleton will be gracing Belize with their royal presence, as they mark the official kick-off to their Caribbean Tour in commemoration of the Queens Platinum Jubilee.
Though there have been previous rumors of preparations for the royal visit, the official confirmation came on Thursday, February 24th, by way of an announcement from the Royal Household at Buckingham Palace, via their official website.
The site confirmed that their Royal Highness is expected to arrive in the country on Saturday, March 19th and as with the previous visits have asked that their tour of the country allow them the opportunity to meet and converse with as many locals and children as possible.
The site quoted, ”The Royal tour begins in Belize where Their Royal Highness will visit historic Maya sites and celebrate the rich culture of the Garifuna community as well as exploring the country’s rich biodiversity.”
Following that announcement the Duke and Duchess, tweeted, ”We are so excited to visit Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas next month as we mark The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We cant wait to meet people in all three countries, celebrate local culture, and understand more about innovative works being done across communities.”

While it remains uncertain how long the Duke and Duchess will vacation in Belize, the site informed that the couple will then travel to Jamaica where they are expected to meet with the country’s wide array of musicians before ending their tour in the Bahamas, where they will entice themselves in the rich culture of the Bahamas and witness the famous Junkanoo parade.
According to the Royal Household, during their tour, the Duke and Duchess are committed to understanding more about the impacts that the pandemic has had across the Caribbean and how these tiny communities have banded together to respond and overcome those challenges.
Similarly, the visit will also seek to look at the issue of mental health and the importance of childhood to lifelong outcomes. During their visit across the Caribbean, the Royals are expected to meet with children, youths, families, front-liners, service personnel, government leaders, business, charity workers, conservationists, and early years workforce.
The tour to the Caribbean will conclude on March 26th.
