Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly visiting Belize in March

The secret is out and You Better Belize It, that the Royal Couple Kate Middleton and Prince William, will be heading for a warmer climate for the Spring and will be soaking up some Belizean sunshine in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

While international news outlets have been buzzing with the news since the start of the week, local sources have confirmed that representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on the island last week scouting out possible destinations, ahead of the royal visit.

From what we have been able to gather the royal couple, are expected to arrive discreetly in the country sometime in the month of March where they will indulge in some mainland attractions before sailing out to La Isla Bonita for a private four-day getaway.

The prince’s surprise visit to Belize is part of a wider tour of the Caribbean to mark Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrating her 70 years on the throne. It is also a means of focusing and highlighting ecological issues that Caribbean countries and in fact the world are faced with.

While readers will recall that the last high profile royal visit to Belize was made by Prince Harry in 2012 to mark the occasion of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, the tiny nation of Belize continues to attract and mesmerize vacationers from all walks of life, ranging from royals to major celebrities, and local tourists.

Over the weekend Belize was again thrust into the public spotlight when celebrity and R&B singer Kehlani, announced to her 13.9 Instagram followers that she was vacationing in southern Belize.

Late last year American rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Kanye West had also touched down in Belize via the Phillip Goldson International Airport, where he embarked to get his dose of the tropical paradise. Prior to that, Belize also welcomed celebrities such as Britney Spears who vacationed on a private island off the coast of Belize as well as Netflix star, Aimee Garcia and American television personality, fashion designer, and singer Tammy Rivera.
