Belize, known for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, is now more accessible than ever to travelers from North and Central America, thanks to a significant increase in airlift services.
JetBlue Airlines has taken a pioneering step by launching the first-ever nonstop flights between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Belize’s Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). Starting December 6, 2023, this service operates three times weekly – every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, offering a convenient gateway for New Yorkers to explore the wonders of Belize.
In a similar vein, American Airlines is expanding its reach into Belize. The airline has now included Charlotte in its Saturday flight schedule and increased its Dallas operations to two flights every Saturday. An exciting development is set for December 20th, with the airline doubling its Miami flights to Belize. This increased frequency will continue through August 2024, providing more options for travelers.
Copa Airlines is also joining the trend by adding an extra flight from Panama City to Belize, starting January 9, 2024. This additional service, operated by a Boeing 737-700, complements the existing Friday flights, further enhancing connectivity between Central America and Belize.
WestJet is extending its footprint, too, with extended nonstop services from Calgary, Canada, to Belize until early May 2024, and from Toronto to Belize until May 25, 2024. This extension reflects the growing interest among Canadian travelers in Belize’s diverse attractions.
Additionally, Southwest Airlines is now offering a new Saturday service to Denver and has expanded its Houston service to operate daily. This expansion is a testament to the growing demand for Belize travel experiences.
The Belize Tourism Board heartily welcomes visitors, inviting them to experience the country’s unique blend of rainforest and reef adventures, rich cultural experiences, warm hospitality, delectable cuisine, and a vibrant tapestry of traditions.
As Belize becomes increasingly accessible, it’s poised to solidify its status as a top-tier travel destination, offering unforgettable experiences to visitors from across the Americas and beyond.
