North American expats living in Belize have revealed the reasons why they chose the picturesque Caribbean nation as their new home.

In addition to the pristine beaches and rolling mountains, they say they only need between US$2,000 and US$3,000 a month to give them a comfortable lifestyle. Another reason is that it is closer to home than many of the other countries and islands in the Central American/Caribbean region.
