The Garifuna Collective Takes Australia and New Zealand by Storm and Prepares for Upcoming Performances Across North America!

The Garifuna Collective has just returned to Belize after a successful tour of Australia and New Zealand. The group showcased their unique blend of Garifuna and Belizean sounds at venues in Sydney and at the prestigious WOMAD festivals. The tour kicked off on February 28th, marking the band’s first-ever performance in New Zealand and their second time touring Australia since performing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The group is thrilled with the warm reception they received in Australia and New Zealand. They shared, “It was an honor to share our music and stories with audiences in these beautiful countries.” The Garifuna Collective is dedicated to preserving the traditional music of the Garifuna people, and their performances showcase the rich history and culture of Belize.
Next month, the group is set to perform at the Summit of the Americas in Denver, Colorado. Following this, they will embark on a tour of the United States and Canada throughout June and July. They will then return to Belize to perform at the 2nd annual Belize International Music and Food Festival.
