IndigeNOWbelize–World Indigenous Music Festival

Less than a month remains to the anticipated launch of the IndigeNOWbelize–World Indigenous Music Festival, on October 12th – 14th, 2012!  This Festival will showcase Belize as the landmark destination to experience Indigenous cultures and their authentic and diverse music.

Expect an influx of indigenous groups, artisans, and musical performers from participating countries such as –  Mexico, Guatemala, and others, to this electrifying 3-day festival. Fall in love with the unique arts and craft on display, in the Arts and Craft spaces, and experience a wealth of Indigenous music.  Indulge in the cultural cuisines that are infused with the distinctive spices of these indigenous cultures as your appreciation for diversity deepens.  Children will also have the opportunity to learn and play Indigenous games thought by local indigenous groups.

For the music lover in you, IndigeNOWbelize–World Indigenous Music Festival will feature Indigenous artists at the highest level, including international disc jockey, a Maya rapper, Indian music groups and top local performers such as the Garifuna Collective.


  • Friday 12th and Saturday 13th-the festival/concert (6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.).
  • Headline performances-the Pasteles Verdes and the Garifuna Collectives.
  • Sunday 14th – Arts and Craft and Food Court (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).

IndigeNOWbelize–World Indigenous Music Festival is an initiative undertaken by Belize’s National Institute of Culture and History for the benefit of the Nation’s growing economy and tourism appeal, produced in association with Belize Tourism Board, RSV Media and Bronitsky and Associates.
