Magnum Tours host 3rd travel agent FAM for 9 premier agents

Magnum Tours, a premiere travel agency, recently hosted a six-day FAM for travel agents.

Magnum Tours, based in the United States, is a large-scale wholesaler of comprehensive tour packages to Belize. Joining in with the likes of American Airlines, WestJet, and Southwest, Magnum Tours is an industry leader on marketing the beautiful Central American nation of Belize to travelers in North America.

Below is the day by day itinerary of their FAM Trip to Belize:

August 5

The company’s third annual FAM kicked off on Friday, August 5, 2016, as Magnum Belize Tours welcomed nine top flight agents to the country. Lodgings were provided by the beautiful Chaa Creek Lodge in Belize’s western Cayo District. Chaa Creek Lodge owners Mick and Lucy Fleming welcomed the agents with a delicious assortment of cocktails and snacks later followed by a gourmet dinner.

After dinner, many of the invitees took part in the special “Creatures of the Night” tour, exploring the nearby jungle using only headlamps.

August 6

The FAM continued with a trip to the nearby Cahal Pech Resort. Afterwards, the group toured the Maya ruins of Cahal Pech which gave the resort its name. A delicious repast was laid out for the group at the Mystic River Resort and delicacies like goat cheese and coconut cheesecake were savored by one and all. The day’s activities continued to Mariposa Jungle Lodge and concluded at Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge where they were hosted for dinner with managing director Erik Lyoth.

Chabil Mar in Placencia Belize

August 7

The FAM headed to the coast on board a Tropic Air flight that departed from Belmopan headed to the Placencia Peninsula. On the ground, the group was met by the staff of Chabil Mar Villas, followed by a delicious lunch right on the water’s edge. After lunch, the group partook in the popular Monkey River boat tour, marveling at the wildlife spotted along the way like manatees, crocodiles, birds, iguanas, and the howler monkeys that give the river its name.

Afterwards, the group took a Chabil Mar complimentary shuttle back to the village of Placencia to enjoy the delicious offerings served up at “The Tipsy Tuna.”

Once again taking to the air, the group flew on Tropic Air to Belize City for a brief layover before continuing on to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. The group was met by the staff of Ramon’s Village and then continued to the popular eatery “El Fogon” for a tasty lunch. To work off all the calories, the group then partook in a fun snorkeling trip to Shark Ray Alley and the Hol Chan Marine Reserve.

Back on land once more, the group supped at the Blue Water Grill before moving onto Fidos for some excellent live music and dancing.

August 9

Using golf carts, the group toured Pelican Reef Villas and Victoria House before pausing to dine at the Phoenix Resort. The day wound to a close with a full tour of the Grand Caribe and Matchica Beach Resort.

Dinner was a Ramon’s Village special where all guests cooked their own meal on a hot stone.

August 10

With many fond farewells, the group packed up and headed back home.

During the trip, a number of Outstanding Service Awards were given. Winners included:

  • Sharyn Brinker – Mariposa Jungle Lodge (owner)
