Spring Break in Belize

Escape the winter blues and come on down to Belize for a perfect spring break getaway vacation. See how this vibrant Caribbean culture celebrates Easter in a uniquely festive style with parades, elaborate group dances, and playful paint and flour fights in the streets. The weather is always perfect in Belize in spring, making it the perfect time to visit this beautiful tropical paradise in Central America.

The Real Surf and Turf

Far more than a simple menu item, the amazing surf and turf vacation package offers a complete 7 days/6 nights adventure in Belize. You’ll be greeted at the airport by a friendly, English-speaking driver who will whisk you away to one of the most mountain resorts in the north of the country.

Your adventure starts on day two, with a tour of the mysterious ruins of the lost Mayan city of Caracol. Climb the amazing Sky Palace to get a panoramic view of the enormous complex. In the evening, you’ll enjoy delicious local delicacies while sipping on a cocktail, all in full view of some of the most beautiful scenery in the country.

The following days’ adventure include a visit to a private nature reserve, where rare birds and animals can be spotted amidst majestic waterfalls and breathtakingly gorgeous natural scenery. You’ll then see the lovely island of Ambergris Caye where fishing, sailing, snorkeling and diving adventures await. See enormous rays and sharks up close and personal in a protected marine wildlife habitat. Relax and enjoy the town of San Pedro, the entertainment capital of Belize, where good times and live music reign. As your amazing vacation draws to a close, you’ll get dropped off right on time for your flight back home from the International Airport in Belize City.

Diving With Whale Sharks

Every spring, huge schools of migrating whale sharks come to the waters off of Gladden Spit in southern Belize. Feeding on eggs from spawning fish, these huge sharks rise to the surface, giving divers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal.

Break Away Travel is one of the few travel agents in the country that can arrange for visitors to dive with whale sharks.

With this package, you’ll get several chances to interact with these amazing creatures. Measuring up to 40 feet long, and weighing as much as 60,000 pounds, whale sharks are the largest fish in the ocean. Despite their enormous size, they feed on tiny eggs and krill, so they pose little danger to humans. Curious and playful, whale sharks enjoy interacting with people, giving divers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
