
Belize, known globally for its pristine jungles, rainforest, reefs, and unspoiled beaches as well as its rich and authentic culture, is once more in the spotlight as it has been nominated for the prestigious 29th annual World Travel Award.
Belize was nominated in the Mexico and Central America Categories in areas such as Leading Adventure Tourism Destination 2022, Leading Beach Destination (Ambergris Caye), Leading City Break Destination (Belize City), Leading Destination, Leading Dive Destination, Leading Island Destination (Ambergris Caye), Leading Boutique Hotel, Leading Boutique Resort, and even Most Romantic Resort categories, with multiple selections.
Hotels such as the San Ignacio Resort Hotel, Victoria House Resort and Spa, The Elysian Boutique Hotel, Radisson Fort George Hotel, and the Best Western Plus Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel have all been nominated as Belize Leading Hotels 2022.
Cayo Espanto, Turtle Inn, Belizean Dreams Resort, Captain Morgan’s Retreat, Alai Belize Autograph Collection, and Las Terrazas Resort and Residence have also been nominated as Belize’s Leading Resort 2022.
While, Chaa Creek, Blancaneaux Lodge, Hopkins Bay Belize, Matachica Resort and Spa, and Turtle Inn have been nominated as Belize Leading Villa Resort 2022.
The World Travel Awards was founded in an effort to recognize, acknowledge and reward excellence in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry worldwide.
Voting has since commenced through to July 29th and can be conducted online at the World Travel Awards website, where the results will also be made public in a few months. Persons wishing to vote are asked to register online at the World Travel Awards Website in order to cast their votes.
