In a rare interview with Belizean Journalist Bilal Morris in 2006, the Belizean musical legend, the late Mr. Peters who popularized the Belizean genre of music called Brukdong speaks about Belizean music and some of the challenges that are facing traditional Belizean musical art forms like Brukdong and its lack of appeal to a younger generation of Belizean musical artists of today.

Mr. Peters and a Belizean Soca artist called Swaappy, speaks out about the threat that traditional Belizean musical art forms faces in the rise of a foreign pop music invasion in Belize since the 1990’s.
