Sanctuary Belize – The Only Five-star Eco-lifestyle Development in the world

Sanctuary Belize

The former British colony of Belize is fast becoming a hot spot for those looking for an alternative to owning resort properties in Mexico.

Sanctuary Belize is in the heart of the action. Covering 5,666 hectares in the south end of Belize — 4,047 of which is environmental reserve — this project offers land-development opportunities for those wanting to build their own dream home in the sun.

“We are the only five-star eco-lifestyle development in the world,” says Calgary-based director of sales Tod Hall. “In the confines of our development, we have the river, savannah, jungle and we have barrier reef.”

The property also includes a marina (now under construction), as well as other amenities such as an equestrian area and planned retail and commercial space.

When finished, Sanctuary Belize will have approximately 1,800 home sites, each ranging in size from 0.10 to 4.05 hectares. Owners can access approved builders via Sanctuary Belize.

Hall says some 20 per cent of buyers hail from Canada.

“They relate to it not only for the financial benefit, but Belize is also part of the Commonwealth; it’s the only English-speaking country in all of Central America.”

And it’s easy to get to, with direct flights from numerous U.S. cities.

Hall says Sanctuary Belize, which has been honoured by the International Property Awards, offers land ownership opportunities ranging from $99,000 to more than $1 million US.

Acknowledging growing Canadian interest in the development, Sanctuary Belize opened a sales office in Calgary this month.
