The ceremony, hosted at Oakridge Venues in Spanish Lookout, honored global leaders in sustainable travel and tourism, and Belize’s remarkable achievements were center stage.

The country was bestowed the prestigious “Leading Sustainable Destination” award, with the spotlight shining brightly on the innovative Blue Bond initiative. This groundbreaking financial mechanism, which combines debt restructuring with dedicated funding for marine conservation, showcases Belize’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding its natural treasures and tackling climate change.
